On September 3, 2024, Setu Nepal brought together Setu Nepal potential/beneficiaries, and stakeholder/ community representatives with the Setu team for joy and empowerment. Our venue was beautifully adorned with handcrafted decorations, colorful bangles, and festive balloons, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration.
The event featured engaging games like musical chairs and a balloon-holding contest with an inspiring speech, highlighting Haritalika Teej as a celebration of empowerment and equality for all.
Teej is a celebration of aligning one's life with the divine rhythm of Hari, symbolizing the union of the soul with the Supreme Being. Rooted in ancient traditions, the festival is not only for women but for all, including men and sexual minorities. It commemorates Parvati's penance and ultimate union with Lord Shiva, signifying spiritual victory. While culture evolves, we must ensure that changes remain beneficial and meaningful, keeping the essence of purity and harmony. On this occasion, we reflect on the deeper values of our traditions and extend best wishes to everyone.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special occasion and supporting our mission of empowerment and solidarity.
