The SETU Nepal family gathered at our Changu Farm House fields for a meaningful tree planting initiative in celebration of World Environment Day. The program successfully turned climate awareness into practical, direct local engagement under the direction of our Executive Director, Ranju Pandey, and special guest Shan Thulung from GreenGold Solutions.
Shan Thulung has already planted a variety of fruits and trees around her workplace, as well as bamboo on ancestral land, so planting trees is a lifelong habit for her. But this was a very special day at the farm house. The entire event was quite exciting when we came together to plant alongside the young children who live and study at the shelter home.
A absolutely beautiful and productive day in nature was made possible by the dark clouds holding off despite the dull, gloomy weather and the fear of rain. Our team and the incredible kids from Aarati Home, who dedicated a lot of effort and collaborated to provide new seedling a new home, were the real heart of the event.
We did more than just plant trees when we included the kids in this pleasant process; we also planted the seeds of environmental responsibility for future generations. We are greatly motivated by nature to continue caring for our surroundings, one tree at a time, because every sapling planted at the farm brings us one step closer to a better world.
