Our Regional Workshop in Pokhara Metropolitan City began a little differently this time, not with slides or an opening speech, but with a 30-minute sound healing and meditation session. Participants settled in, closed their eyes, and let the calming tones set the pace for the day ahead.
Before diving into discussions and agendas, the session gave everyone a moment to pause, breathe, and simply be present. For a room full of coordinators and committee members used to fast-moving meetings, it was a refreshing shift , one that shaped how people engaged with each other for the rest of the day.
"We started this program with positive vibes, with sound healing and meditation, and I am very thankful to the Setu team for that."
-Mr. Toran Bahadur Baniya, Chairperson of Ward No. 15 and Coordinator of the Social Development Committee, Pokhara Metropolitan City
His words captured what many in the room felt — that a calm, grounded start made space for more genuine participation throughout the day. We're thankful to the Setu team for facilitating this experience and for reminding us that meaningful work often begins with something as simple as presence and stillness.
