On 15 May 2026, our team and children from Aarati Home visited the ICIMOD Living Mountain Lab in Godavari for a guided learning experience. The visit introduced us to innovative approaches to sustainable agriculture and mountain-based farming practices.
Some of the most inspiring highlights included Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) for soil conservation, mushroom cultivation techniques, solar-powered drying and water systems, vertical farming ideas, and eco-friendly farming practices such as vermicomposting and biochar use.
The visit was not only an exciting learning experience for the children but also sparked practical ideas that could be adapted for Changu Farmhouse in the future. It was a meaningful day filled with knowledge, innovation, and inspiration for a more sustainable future.
