She lived with her mother, father and younger sisters in Kavre. He had eloped with a man at an young age whom she married eventually.  Her family disowned  her as it was a disgrace for her family. At the beginning her married life was going well. However things started taking a  U turn.   Her relationship with her husband started getting ugly . Her husband was an alcoholic and she had been a victim of domestic violence.

Everything changed for Inju when once she had a terrible fight with her husband and she tried to commit suicide using a knife. Her mother in law tried to snatch the knife and accidently Inju killed her mother in law. Everything happened in a matter of second. During the investigation, Inju was found guilty and was sentenced for  5 years. Her son was just 2 years old when she was imprisoned.  Life was not at all easy inside the prison. After she was free, she tried to visit her son but her husband didn’t allow her. Her son was with his husband's family  Inju was helpless. She couldn’t take help from her own family nor she had any support from her in laws.  She approached Setu Nepal on 5th of Oct 2006. She had the courage to do something with her life when she came to Setu,  Setu helped her to be enrolled in sewing which she has mastered now. She has her own tailoring now and is earning for herself.
