Learning is not only about books and classrooms. Children also need space to express themselves, feel calm and connect with others, especially when they have been through difficult times. That is the idea behind the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities led by Setu Nepal’s volunteers (NRAT).
Our volunteers are engaging students through dance, drawing and coloring, clay art, meditation and breathing exercises. Each activity gives children a different way to share what they feel. Some may find it easier to express themselves through movement, others through colors and shapes, and others through quiet, mindful moments.
Through creativity, movement and mindfulness, we are creating safe spaces where children can express, connect, relax and enjoy learning together. These moments help them release stress, build confidence and form friendships, while learning that their feelings matter.
At Setu Nepal, we believe that a child’s well-being is the foundation of their growth. We will continue to support children, one activity at a time.
