Setu Nepal Employee Retreat

Guess what employee needs  the most after a demanding work pressure and hectic schedule? 

A refreshing ,exciting and energy lifting employee retreat.

A strong team is formed when there is a shared experience, healthy balance of work ,play and coordination. For team bonding, skill building and reflection an employee retreat of was organized by Setu Nepal on 20th and 21st December at Setu Nepal social Enterprise, Changunarayan, Bhaktapur.

Employee Retreat is more than just an event—it’s a commitment to our people and the culture we’ve built together. Therefore, the event was designed to inspire, energize, and connect with our team like never before.  Energizing, engaging  and entertainment activities such as Matka phod ,cup games were performed. BBQ party definitely was the highlight of the retreat.

We were not limited to happy faces and good food.

To make this retreat event more memorable, grander and effective a Yoga and Mindful Rejuvenation session was organized.
On 21st December, as a part of the employee retreat as well as  to make employee conscious and alert toward their health a one day Yoga and Mindful Rejuvenation session was organized. Recognizing the fatigue caused by busy schedules and demanding work, the session aimed to help participants feel calm, composed, and re-energized.

An early morning refreshment through Yoga session which was led by Benju Thapa, a yoga and meditation instructor and professional sound healing healer. She taught different asanas such as Pranayama, Surya namaskar , Chandra namaskar and other essential asanas to live a healthy life. Cherry on top of the cake with a singing ball for healing ,relaxing and calming mind, body and soul. It was a definitely new and surreal experience to all the staffs.

“On the daily basis I'm going to do exercise. My body is not flexible and through this yoga experience I m aware, alert and more conscious towards my health’’ say Neha Das, Ex-staff of Setu Nepal.

Another , meaningful  and Mindful Rejuvenation session was facilitated by Chhori Maya Maharjan, a trained and certified counselor from Ankur Counselling Center. The session began with an interactive icebreaker where participants paired up and shared details such as their names, leisure activities, self-care practices, and personal strengths continued by session such as understanding the stress, symptoms of stress, stress management techniques, self reflection sessions.

The additional exciting and creative  session took place where all the staff had to express their emotions through collaborative painting activity. Without verbal communication, each person contributed their feelings and thoughts through art. The activity underscored the importance of time management, imperfection, and self-expression. Participants later shared the meaning behind their paintings and how they related to their personal and professional lives.

Participants received self-care kits as a token of appreciation and as a reminder of the importance of self-love and mindfulness. The session successfully rejuvenated the attendees, equipping them with tools to manage stress and enhance their overall well-being.

A retreat so engaging, refreshing and definitely memorable.
