Street Drama for Gender Justice

116th International Women’s Day

To mark International Women’s Day, a successful street drama awareness programme was held in Ramgram Municipality–7, Ujaini, as part of the 'Integrated Service Access for the Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence' project.

SETU Nepal was proud to collaborate on this programme, supporting efforts to strengthen community awareness and promote gender equality at the local level.

The event, chaired by Deputy Mayor Mrs Samjhana Chaudhary, aimed to raise awareness in the community of gender-based violence (GBV), women’s rights, and access to justice and support services.

Through powerful performances and community engagement, the programme addressed important issues such as domestic violence and early marriage, and emphasised the importance of speaking out against injustice. The street drama created an open platform for dialogue, reflection, and collective commitment towards building a safer and more equitable society.
