Sima, 14 years old
Manav, 18 years old
Sima and Manav, who are from the Tanahu district, lost their parents to HIV. Following their deaths, Manav tried to survive by working in a small hotel/tea house, while Sima struggled with poor health and a lack of care.
Due to her positive HIV diagnosis and vulnerable condition, Sima was rescued and referred to Setu Nepal by the District Child Welfare Committee.
She is now receiving medical care and educational support, and is studying in Grade 8. Despite all her health challenges, Sima is a bright and determined girl. She dreams of living independently after completing her education.
Manav joined Setu Nepal at the age of ten after his grandmother, who had been caring for him, passed away. He is now in Grade 10 and aspires to become an agriculturalist. Setu Nepal is supporting him on his journey by providing training and giving him the opportunity to assist with farm work.
Supporting Sima means helping both siblings. Your contribution will ensure: continuous HIV treatment, good nutrition and a good education. You are paving the way for a hopeful and independent future for them both.
