"Decide generously and invest genuinely"

Summary: Nigma and Unatti are two sisters who came to Aarati house in summer 2018 together with their two brothers. The four children were rescued after their parent’s death within a time differences of 1 month. They were the victims of extreme poverty and the youngest child Unatti was sucking on her mother’s milk when her mother died.

Nigma Dolmo Gole Tamang (eight years old) and Unnati Gole (two years old) are two sisters that came to Aarati house in summer 2018 together with their two brothers. The four children have been rescued from Dolakha district after having lost their parents and being left alone. Their father died shortly before their rescue due to being HIV positive and also their mother suffered a horrible death a few days after.  Apparently, the mother was coming home from the farm with her youngest daughter Unnati and sat down beside the road to take some rest and died while breastfeeding her daughter, as a consequence of different opportunistic infections. The children suffered a lot under this tragedy and became victims of discrimination because they are all infected by HIV, except the oldest daughter. To share such tragic death of their mother is something like nightmare for these siblings They didn’t have any caretakers and it was at that moment that they were referred to SETU Nepal by District Child Welfare. The four siblings were staying in the transit home and then received ART. Once the treatment had  started properly and a proper shelter had been found for the two boys, they were transferred to another organisation, as SETU Nepal only has provisions for female children. Fortunately, a very generous well-wisher has sponsored Unnati’s nutrition for a year and Nigma has been provided an education. Nigma has been provided with a partial  support by a well wisher for her education. Although the two girls have been living in SETU Nepal for only a few months so far, they have found a new family in the staff and the children of SETU Nepal. The way they all play together and have so much love for each other is beyond beautiful. Nigma is really good at drawing and just so motivated to be good at school. Her sister Unnati is not any less keen, she is a curious little girl, who is always smiling and already really intelligent at her young age. Their transformation has been incredible and knowing that only a few months ago they had to live through such horrible events and now seeing them as a part of SETU full of joy and with so much happiness warms our heart every day.

It’s a humble request to all our well-wishers and helping hands for their financial support so that the treatments, nurturing and education can be directed in a proper path. Today our small initiation can be a major investment for their bright and independent future.

We, the family of Setu Nepal urge for an immediate support for all these siblings and the long term support too for the male children as soon as possible. We are very positive that our combined effort will restore that glee in these innocent faces and nothing can bet the contentment of being a reason for someone's smile.

We eagerly wish to share that  on constant effort, we have finally been able to rehabilitate Chiring Gole (6 years) and Angnima Gole (4 years) in another home Saana Haatharu Nepal from Aarati Home.( http://www.setunepal.org/setu-here-again-as-a-bridge/ )

We would like to thank Mr. Anjan Pandey for his generous support of Rs. 20,000 for providing nutritional support to Unnati for a year. (http://www.setunepal.org/and-here-again-we-have-been-blessed/
