Amid the pandemic, we have completed our regular sessions of Income Generating Training of this year. Due to travel restrictions and ongoing risk of COVID-19, we reached 91 HIV infected mothers residing in Kathmandu Valley.
The sessions turned out to be a great opportunity for Setu Nepal to interact with the needy mass and experience their bitter scenario despite being in the capital city. To understand their needs of care and support, ongoing struggles for livelihood and then reach them through effective intervention remained a core part of all the sessions. With arrays of backgrounds of the participants, from the most victimized to active working women, we got to study number of aspects of these internal migrants and benefited them too through psychological, social and financial support.
With the completion of sessions, we see ample opportunity to improve their existing livelihood status for which our monitoring, support and effective interventions will be in the effect throughout.
