Ramgram, Nawalparasi District, Nepal
Setu Nepal organized a multi-stakeholder workshop in Ramgram, Nawalparasi District, Nepal. The workshop brought together representatives from the local government, civil society organizations, service providers, and community members. On December 12, the workshop highlighted Setu Nepal’s role in connecting survivors of gender-based violence and women living with HIV to essential services, including treatment, counselling, livelihood support, and referral mechanisms.
During the workshop, participants reviewed program targets and achievements and discussed the importance of providing need-based support for survivors. Conversations focused on how access to treatment and healthcare, nutrition support, psychosocial counselling, and livelihood opportunities can help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.
A beneficiary shared a powerful success story illustrating the positive impact of the program. Through livelihood support, she was able to strengthen her economic independence and regain confidence, demonstrating how targeted assistance can support long-term resilience and stability.
Stakeholders also reflected on the broader landscape of organizations working on gender-based violence and HIV-related issues in the region. Many participants emphasized that while multiple organizations are addressing similar challenges, stronger coordination and collaboration are needed to improve service delivery and ensure better outcomes for beneficiaries. The importance of holding regular stakeholder meetings throughout the year was highlighted as a way to strengthen partnerships and share information.
The workshop reinforced the need for collective action, stronger partnerships, and continued engagement with government institutions to better support survivors and vulnerable communities.
