During our field visits in Nawalparasi, we visited “Lumbini Plus Community Care Center” a care home, that supports people living with HIV for their health treatment. The care center not only provides the necessary health support but it is also a place, where people with the same medical backgrounds can come together and help each other mutually. As usual, we had very fruitful meetings, however we observed that the kitchen of the care home could need some improvements, regarding their kitchen supplies. Only a few cups, plates and pans were available and although they were able to work with such little utensils in order to provide food, we think some additional appliances would be welcomed. Since we really believe in the work of this center and its beneficiaries, we were dedicated to help them out and thus provided financial support so that they could stock up on kitchen supplies. A few weeks after our visits they contacted us, showing which utensils they had purchased and we weren’t surprised that our donation had been used effectively. If anyone wishes to support the care home by providing equipment such as kitchen supplies, mattresses, blankets or other necessities as well as contributing financially in order to make the institution even more appealing to the beneficiaries, it would be deeply appreciated. We are wishing the best of luck to our friends in “Lumbini Plus Community Care Center” and encourage them to continue with their good work!
