On 16th of August, a community awareness program was conducted at Nawalparsi to encourage members of community to raise their vioce against gender based violence which comprises of 20 members.

The society where we live is bleeding and screaming loudly the pain caused by Gender based violence that are often ignored or shadowed. Everybody is aware that Gender based violence brings nothing but shame and destruction yet it still is becoming a part of society.
The session facilitator Radhika Neupane aware members about about Gender based violence and HIV/AIDS. She faciliated the session on what Gender based violence is, types of gender based violenbce, where the violence is likely to happen. She also raised an issue regarding the violence where not only the adults but the children are also the victim and are often ignored. Her session touch the sensitive topic HIV/AIDS, it's misconception as well as the stereotypes.

Rita Paudel, focal person of Setu Nepal for Nawalparsi district on the ending remark explained about One stop crisis management (OCMC),it's work and service. She motivated the members to raise their voice against gender based violence and seek help from OCMC as well as Women cell if anyone is suffering from GBV.
Taking small steps that will lead to gender based violence free society for tomorrow where the coming generation do not have to fight for the same social problem again and again.
