There are various tasks in which you can involve here, such as organizing activities with the children of Aarati Home during holidays and help them with their studies/homework. You can help updating the website by writing reports, appeals and articles as well as case histories. Furthermore you can make documentaries (either video or PowerPoint) to present our activities to the sponsors and try to raise fund. Moreover you can participate in our yearly field visits where we are visiting our beneficiaries in their different districts and you can join us in our capacity trainings that we conduct with mothers. You can involve here directly by making activities or taking pictures to document everything. You can also get involved in government schools where we are running our day meal program and other school strengthening activities http://www.setunepal.org/schoiol-strengthening-program-at-choina-bina-guru-ganesh-basic-school/ . Finally, every idea is welcome and you are free in your work, so don’t hesitate to share it with us!
You don’t need any specific requirements, only great motivation, dedication and an open mind! However if you have any skills you are free to use them in our organization and share your ideas with us!
If you want to know more about volunteering in SETU Nepal you can contact us and we will provide you the information you need (ex. sending us your CV and a motivation letter). Later we can arrange an interview on skype (in English). Speaking English is absolutely necessary as it is only the way to communicate with the staff.
We cannot provide a salary to our volunteers, however, contrarily to many other organizations, we won’t ask you to pay to volunteer here. The only expenses you will have to cover will be your own (accommodation, food…). If you have any questions regarding this, we will be happy to help you and provide extra information!
